Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
I will be attending this event, would anyone like to join me?
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
Don't all type at once. Heheheheh.
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
i'm pretty sure i will be attending - gotta get a creative black idea soon though....
so far i've got nothing
nothing
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
Get your Black on! Get creative...sweet prizes for cool costumes.
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
I will be there as well as Husband, who will be trying to blend in and not look like he's wearing a costume. He will be in costume though - a very subtle costume...ha!

Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
Ha Cathy, That's why all black attire is great...everyone will be in "costume" and comfy if they don't want to take it to the other side!!
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
Cathy, Andreea and I had a great time being creative with you today! One week away!
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
hi cathy/sooo excited for my/your creation and the event...
if anyone is stuck on the creative black, email fund...@cirquedunoir.org and we'll give you a few ideas...
and don't forget to reserve your evening // www.cirquedunoir.org // cheers!
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
Ladies - Looking forward to creating something cool to add to your black attire! I can't wait to go to the flower market tomorrow to see what interesting black flowers I can find - check the blog in the p.m. and you can get a preview!
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
If I were to attend in blackface with a Yes We Can button on my shirt would I be a racist?
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
I'll be thinking very dark thoughts the whole time. Is that close enough?
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
I'll ask the stupid question - What's "live art fusion"?
Does it require audience participation? If so, I need to prepare Husband, who as a GURPS guy is already reluctant to get into costume, never mind do some "participating"!
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
Cathy, HUSBAND is in the clear!
Art Fusion: Artists collaborate on shared artwork. So, they each start on a piece and after a few minutes, move on to the next. 6 Artists are rotating around 6 easles. The guests are safely spared the pressure of performance, while the artists create and innovate right in front of everyone.
***Tell your husband you could dress him like the folks in feathers on
http://www.ostrich.com/action/index.html..........creative black is safe and feather free...if you want it to be.
The artwork is being submitted for the auction........it is great! Can't wait!
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
OK, my fingers are completely stuck together with floral adhesive and black and purple glitter, but I think it will be worth it!
If I can get unstuck, I have a mind to make myself a floral cocktail ring... :-)
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
I am sure they look amazing! Can't wait to see tomorrow. We worked all afternoon on the other flowers too, so I have a abundance of glitter...everywhere.
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
How did it go?
Re: Cirque du Noir...a new twist on Halloween
Cirque was fabulous! Great art, music, wine, people - and a good cause to boot!
Thanks M and A for including us!
