has anyone checked out the Boiler Room on Winter Street?
I can't picture where this is...is it simply the other side of Bocado?..where Bocado used to be two rooms but they closed one room down...maybe the Boiler room is where this second room used to be? anyone go since it has been the Boiler room?
Re: Boiler Room Winter St
Its in the basement on the corner of the heywood building (harding and winter) Look for a pink/red hue glowing from the club. It's an "Industrial" lounge, looks cool in there but so not my scene. Designer labels, sunglasses @ night, cologne so thick in the air you can taste it. I went once and had enough to last a lifetime.
Re: Boiler Room Winter St
oh okay good to know....yeah i'll check it out.
..will have to look at the back of the closet for my Drakkar and douse myself in it before I go.
..when in Rome...........
Re: Boiler Room Winter St

Re: Boiler Room Winter St
I went there this past weekend and this place was dope.
Room is cool, vibe was cool, diverse crowd, staff was friendly, layout easy to navigate, good size crowd, people dancing, people chillin, and a DJ who actually blended good music not just top 40. From dance to hip-hop that's relevant. Old school joints, reggae, reggaeton, even some classic house songs thrown in there between new ones. I'm usually a big club DJ critic but this dude was onpoint.
Re: Boiler Room Winter St
this would be the only club on water st not named after an energy drink.
something weird is going on
"what?"
Re: Boiler Room Winter St
yeah i went about a month ago on a Friday night..we got there early though..say around 9:30..don't do that man..we were the only people in there besides the staff...but that was fine with us for awhile cuz 2-3 of the staff used to work at Bar None.
Anyhoo, it evetnually got packed in there, good looking crowd, we had a fun time. Mostly younger crowd though, which is okay I guess, but me and my two friends were on the upper end of the age group, at least that night.
I hate places with dress codes though..but I guess they don't want it to be all gangsta gangsta.
Worth checking out for sure if you like dance clubs or a club type scene, but the Abbey types on here will hate it....(as some have already tried it and said it was not their scene).
Nytmare....how many Ed Hardy shirts do you own? Hahaha.
Re: Boiler Room Winter St
no Ed Hardy shirts, but the boss does keep buying me Affliction T's with grim reapers and headless horsemen and what not. I suppose my training MMA gives me a better excuse than most!
Anyway, when I went to this joint this past weekend I was wearing regular jeans, black addidas shell toes and a long sleeve thermal. Not exactly posh dress code gear bro.
You guys front like it was filled with tanned meat heads in tight black T's and posh chics sippin cosmos.
The "crowd", if you were going to categorize people into silos, pretty much ran the gamut.

Re: Boiler Room Winter St
That pic is legendary. I saw a bunch of dudes with the blown out hair and spray on tans like this when I worked at the Nickelback show at the DCU last week. They were all waiting to go back stage and they were all with attractive girls. Sadly I was unable to take a picture and send it to http://www.hotchickswithdouchebags.com/.
Re: Boiler Room Winter St
maybe they just have bad acid reflux?
I only hope that they see this pic themselves and see the error of their ways. Can a DB be saved? I don't know.
Re: Boiler Room Winter St
on a side note: what in the world makes girls attracted to that?
Re: Boiler Room Winter St
not sure but im a huge fan.
i have a giant collection of pics. that hot chicks with dbs site is a gold mine. thanks!!!
Re: Boiler Room Winter St
hahaha, i wonder what percentage of said DB's actually reside in the Sunshine State?
Re: Boiler Room Winter St
Sunshine State = Long Island?

Re: Boiler Room Winter St
Come on DCed this is slipping into the Nature vs. Nurture debate....
We may need a side by side comparison photo shoot of the entire DB gene pool to wrastle this one to the point that we can drag in the dead horse for the appropriate shod foot treatment....
