Rare Beatles music thread #27

Here we have 6 more tracks from the famed "Quarrymen" tapes. These tracks were probably recorded in April or May 1960. The band was actually going by the name "Beatals" at this point but since these are home recordings/pre-fame the, "Quarrymen" tapes is what they will be known as. 3 other tracks were released on the legitimate "Anthology 1" in 1995, but these here did not appear for whatever reason as Apple/Beatles deemed them unworthy.

The band line up at this time certainly included Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, and Stu Sutcliff whose plodding bass can be heard somewhere on these, and maybe some other local kids in the mix. I have spared the listener of the other tracks from these sessions which are nothing more than 5-8 minutes of the boys playing dreadful instrumentals at a time when they were not more than amateurs.

As for the songs we have 4 Lennon/McCartney originals (more likely they wrote them separately at this point), "The World Is Waiting......" was Les Paul and Mary Ford and "Moovin' N Groovin'/Ramrod" was by Duane Eddy.

"I'll Follow The Sun"
"Moovin' N Groovin'/Ramrod"
"I'll Always Be In Love With You"
"One After 909"
"Hello Little Girl"
"The World Is Waiting For The Sunrise"
