Sometimes things just fall into your lap at the strangest time. Just when I thought the rare Beatles well had run dry, this item appeared. What we have here is each individual track from the 4 track master, of 4 songs from the Beatles epic LP, “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” released in 1967. The last track was the ‘legger combining the 2 string tracks of “She’s Leaving Home”. Hopefully more of these surface soon as it’s great to hear these tracks stripped down. Enjoy and have a happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Rare Beatles music thread #39
Louie-- Thanks again. "She's Leaving Home" is probably one of my favorite Beatle tunes...
Re: Rare Beatles music thread #39
Can't wait to listen to this later. Thank you louie!
And yet, I've lived your future out, by pounding stages like a clown
Re: Rare Beatles music thread #39
very awesome, these are so cool to listen to
Re: Rare Beatles music thread #39
Very much amazing. I listened to most of these, trying to fit in all this hidden detail with what I remember hearing. Now, a producer would insist on removing all the little glitches. The result would somehow be less.
Re: Rare Beatles music thread #39
thanks louie. this is totally awesome.

Re: Rare Beatles music thread #39
It's really interesting as there are bits that were removed in "She's Leaving Home" and the honky-tonk piano at the start of "A Day In The Life" so where the hell does this tape originate from???
Re: Rare Beatles music thread #39
I love this stuff. I found the backing vocal tracking in "Little Help" interesting in that Paul and John unison each harmony part on separate tracks instead of singing the harmony together on one track. Pretty cool and it fattens it up nicely.
Some ADT probably going in in there too.
Re: Rare Beatles music thread #39
Very cool! Thanks Louie!
Hey, I think it was you a few years ago that burned me a CD of Pepper and Revolver in mono. Those versions still blow away the remastered stuff (well the stereo- haven't heard the mono remasters) and I wanted to say thanks again- those to me are the definitive versions of both albums.
Happy T day

Re: Rare Beatles music thread #39
thanks for the post Louie. this album was the sound track to 1969 and hearing the out takes brought me back instantly.

Re: Rare Beatles music thread #39
So nice to hear Paul's bass parts separate from everything else. The line on A Day In The Life is killer.

You can really hear some dodgy intonation when he plays up the neck though.

Is that Harrison assisting Lennon on backing vocals on Sgt Peppers...if so, amazing mid lows on that fella.

George was really a secret weapon on harmonies. His "middle parts" often are the coolest ones.
Re: Rare Beatles music thread #39
Paul was an absolutely fantastic bass player some of his lines are amazing when you hear them, he was usually buried under the strings.
