Honest Town Brewery's Octoberfest (Saturday, 10/11, Southbridge MA)
This Saturday is this release of "Antul's 80-Shilling," a malty Scottish ale that I brewed with Ben Roesch at Honest Town Brewery in Southbridge, MA. Ben graciously donated this opportunity as the prize for Best of Show in the 2008 Worcester Wizards homebrewing competition. This is as close as you can get to buying "my" beer right now!

Okay, so I'm beginning to understand...I keep getting asked if I'm related to the brewer. I was clueless until just now. Antul's...makes perfect sense! The first person to ask me was the owner of Bancroft motors' son...who lives on the other side of the country from what I gather. Where would he know the name from? Are there other Antul brews? Where can I get some?

I was there Saturday but I didn't see you Keith...I had some of the beer offered in the back where thy were serving brats, knocks, and something else... had some beer (that I assume was yours) and a brat...and it was really good, and refreshing... I was there @3, and the crowd was light, but still a decent amount of people there...first time for the Missus, she was real impressed with that building...I still think it's cool we have something like that in town.
I really wish there were more art gallery happenings.

It's a work in progress, and I'm sure it isn't easy pulling that off in Southbridge. The brewer, Ben, told me they were pretty happy all in all, as most of the people who came were locals. I'd say we got there around 4:15pm.
If the beer you had was dark brown, slightly sweet and maybe a little roasty, then it was my 80-Shilling. ;)
