The 9th show in the popular Green Street Music Series comes to the Lucky Dog Music Hall for a special Valentine's Day show on Saturday, February 13 with Green Street Under Pressure: a local celebration of the music of Elton John, David Bowie, and Queen!
The show features local super-group Total Blam Blam and more than 25 guest singers performing over 50 songs and over 5 hours of music! The hits-heavy show kicks off at 8 PM sharp with doors opening at 7 PM. Tickets are $12 in advance, more the night of the show, and you need to be 21 or older to get in.
The Green Street Music Series began in 2003 with Exile On Green Street, a show commemorating the Rolling Stones' club appearance in Worcester, MA at Sir Morgan's Cove (now the Lucky Dog) in September of 1981. Eight shows have followed in the years since, the most recent being last spring's Radio Free Green Street, a local celebration of the music of REM and U2.

The Green Street Music Series, which consists of a different show every three or four months, is a two-fold celebration. THIS WEEK, ON TAP...In honor of the Worcester "Beard growing contest" or "Whiskerite" that is coming to a close, I put on a very special draft beer that fans of facial hair will appreciate...
CISCO's "THE BEARD" $4.50 for a delicious spicy/dark pint.
Read more about the "Beardo's" here- http://www.worcesterite.com/forums/general/2009/11/15/whiskerites-inaugural-beard-contest-smack-down
and here- http://www.worcesterite.com/forums/upcoming-events/2010/1/27/whiskerite-total-freakin-beardo-updates
A source at the brewery told me drinking it "will give you a nice full face of hair". All you fuzzy freaks only have until Feb 20th to make your Vandyke victorious, this might be that little push you need! ;)
ALLAGASH "WHITE ALE" $5.00 pint

FLYING DOG "IPA" $4.25 pint

OLD BURNSIDE "Dirty Penny" which is a traditional Scottish Black and Tan. YUM! $4.25 pint

NEWPORT STORM "Hurricane Amber Ale" Dark and tasty! $4.25 pint

BERKSIRE BREWING Co. "GOLD SPIKE" love from our Western MA neighbors. $4.25 pint
Light, crisp, a hint of lemon zest. A beer you can drink all night long.

GRITTY'S "Pub Style Ale" you CAN drink the Hell out of it! $4.25 pint
Taken from GRITTY'S WEBSITE: Original Pub Style harkens back to the very first brews Gritty's produced at our Portland Brew Pub back in 1988. "We wanted to make a beer that captures what made people fall in love with craft brewing in the first place; a fresh, classic pale ale with plenty of hop character." says Brewmaster Ed Stebbins. "This is the kind of beer that really started the whole Maine brewing revolution."
Original Pub Style is a copper-colored, medium-bodied brew with a subtle malt palate and a snappy, slightly floral hop finish. the taste captures the freshness of a hand-crafted brew pub ale that goes right from the conditioning tank to your glass!
LONG TRAIL "PALE ALE" Great tastes from this VT brewery. $4.25 pint
